I know art, and this is it

Iowa Strip Club Features 17-Year-Old Dancer, Claims Artistic License
I find this a very interesting story. "Age-of-consent" laws strike me as very odd, and smack of youthism. I also find the artificial, arbitrary distinctions our culture as made between what is art and what is not art rather odd as well. But my real reason for writing this is to inform Asheville that if anyone thinks of opening up an establishment like this here, I will do everything in my power to help you succeed. The world needs more strip clubs/performing arts centers, and Asheville is just the town to build the next one.
BTW, the original source of this story is the News-Press out of Nebraska City. Is it just me, or is the article repeated about half-way down?

Shordurpersav 'o' the moment: Chile's Subway Goddess

Stripper arrested for subway pole dances (from reuters)

I wholeheartedly approve of her protest and desire to make the world a more beautiful, sexier place. Pity Asheville doesn't have a subway system.

"Officers may have eaten LSD-laced goodies, Fort Worth police say"

LAKE WORTH -- A teen with a list of Fort Worth-area police departments was arrested Tuesday after he attempted to deliver cookies laced with LSD to the Lake Worth Police Department.

The 18-year-old had a list with the names of 25 area police departments -- and 12 of them were checked off, police said.

I don't know if he's a bonafide hero or not. This pricks at my conscience a thousand little different ways. But if you turn down the empathy a smidge, its funny as hell.
